Women’s Writing Circle

MAY CIRCLE IS NOW FULL WITH A WAITLIST ~ email devotionherbals@gmail.com to be added. Thank you!

The theme for the May circle is The Call and The Return and will take place on

Sunday, May 10th from 3pm to 5pm outside at the Asheville Botanical Gardens.

Bring a seashell, spiral object, or small container in addition to your journal, writing utensil, and cup for herbal tea I will have available. Our time together will move through a gentle rhythm of grounding and connection, followed by a story and writing prompts, space to write, and optional sharing.

There will be just one date for this circle, with a limited number of spots.
To reserve your place, please respond to this email and send $5 - 15 via Venmo to @megancairnsphillips. No one will be turned away for lack of funds so just let me know if that is the case.

As always, we will be outside. If needed, the rain date will be the following Sunday.

I will confirm your spot and send a few more details over. So excited to gather soon.

With love,

Megan

Details ~

This is an intentional, compassionate, and grounded women's circle to write, listen, share, and weave ideas together. This circle is specifically oriented towards animism, eco-psychology, mythology, seasonal rhythms, and the language of plants. You do not need prior knowledge of any of these to participate. Each circle will have a theme, inspiration, and prompts to dive into your own writing and personal mythology. Your writing can take any shape you wish - there are no boundaries. Sharing is always optional - active listening and presence is compassionately required.

Wear comfortable clothing, bring your journal, something to sit on (pillow, blanket, etc.), a writing utensil, water, a small snack if needed, and a cup for herbal tea that I will have available. Phones and laptops are not welcome in the space as writing tools as they can be distractions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

If all the women of the world recorded their dreams for a single week and laid them all end to end, we would recover the last million years of women's hymns and chants and dances, all of women's art and stories, and medicines, all of women's lost histories.
