Meadow: A Guided Personal Journey Through Myth
Across cultures and centuries, stories have offered us mirrors for the human experience, reflecting something back to us that we may have felt, but not yet found language for.
Meadow is a private 1:1 journey through myth, symbolism, writing, and reflection. You’ll come as you are, with whatever is stirring. Before we meet, I will thoughtfully select a myth or folktale that speaks to the terrain you find yourself within, and together we will enter the story and listen for the images, characters, symbols, and threads that feel alive in your own life.
How Meadow Unfolds
Before we meet, you will be invited to share a little about what you are currently moving through: a question, transition, recurring pattern, longing, uncertainty, or place in your life that you would like to explore.
I will spend time with what you share and thoughtfully choose a myth or folktale that feels resonant with the terrain you find yourself within. You will not know the story beforehand. Part of the experience is encountering it for the first time together.
During our session, I will tell you the story and guide you through its imagery, symbolism, and unfolding themes. There will be space for conversation, reflection, and writing as we notice what draws you in, what unsettles you, what feels familiar, and what you find yourself returning to.
There is no single interpretation we are trying to arrive at. The story is not here to tell you what to do. Instead, we will allow it to become a mirror: a way of seeing your own experience from somewhere slightly outside of it.
You Might Come to Meadow With...
a threshold you are standing at.
a relationship or experience you are trying to understand.
a recurring pattern or question.
a creative or spiritual crossroads.
a season of grief, change, uncertainty, or becoming.
or simply a sense that something within you wants to be listened to.
Why Myth?
Long before psychology gave us a language for the inner world, humans told stories.
My background in Studio Art and Art History taught me to pay close attention to symbolism: the flower held in a hand, the animal at the edge of an image, a particular color, landscape, gesture, or object, and the larger stories these details can carry. That way of seeing has followed me into my work with plants, writing, mythology, the natural world, and my ongoing study of the human psyche.
I am especially drawn to the way myth speaks through image and symbol rather than explanation. An old story can sometimes give us enough distance from our own lives to see something differently, while still allowing us to decide for ourselves what the story means.
I lead in-person and virtual Women’s Writing Circles if you are interested in group rather than individual guidance.

Meadow is a creative and contemplative offering and is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or a substitute for professional mental health care.
“Megan, the way you hold space is beautiful, so spacious, clear, and no fluff. My entire body softened and it truly took me to a magical space.” - circle participant
