Women’s Writing Circle

In-Person Women’s Writing Circles ~ Asheville, North Carolina

An intentional, compassionate, and grounded space for women to gather, write, listen, share, and weave ideas together.

These circles are rooted in animism, ecopsychology, mythology, seasonal rhythms, symbolism, storytelling, and the language of plants. Each gathering is guided by a seasonal theme, story, or inspiration, with writing invitations that offer space to explore your own inner world and personal mythology.

Your writing can take whatever shape it wishes. No writing experience or prior knowledge is needed, only a willingness to participate with curiosity, creativity, and care.

Sharing is always optional. Active listening, presence, and care are compassionately asked of everyone who enters the circle.

I am so grateful for those who have gathered with me over the last few months and for this sweet and growing community.

This month, we will gather to write, reflect, listen, and share through ancient story, the living world, and a particular medicinal plant. Regeneration, devotion, and tending the sacred. This month’s gathering was inspired by a lively community just outside my tiny cabin... that is all I will share for now. ♡

What to Bring

Bring your writing journal, something to write with, something comfortable to sit on such as a pillow or blanket, water, a small snack if desired, and a mug for the herbal tea I will have available.

This is a digital-free space. Phones and laptops are not used as writing tools so that we can be fully present with the circle, the land, and one another.

About the Circles

These circles draw from years of study and lived experience in art history, symbolism, mythology, storytelling, ecopsychology, herbalism, regenerative land tending, contemplative practices, and more. They are shaped as much by my years steeped in the wild world as they are by my formal studies.

Rooted in animism and seasonal rhythms, each gathering is an invitation to slow down, write, listen deeply, and remember ourselves as part of the living world. Read more about my path and practice here. I also offer 1:1 guidance through Meadow: A Guided Personal Journey Through Myth.

Joining a Circle

Limited to 10 women per gathering

Beginning with upcoming circles, registration and payment will take place directly through this website.

When registration opens, choose the gathering date you would like to attend and complete your registration to reserve your space. Your place in the circle is confirmed once registration and payment are complete.

Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration will close once all 10 places have been filled.

Sliding scale · $15 to 35 · $25 suggested - new sliding scale starting October.

Choose the contribution that feels accessible and sustainable for you. Contributions at the higher end help support lower-cost and gifted spaces for other women.

If all the women of the world recorded their dreams for a single week and laid them all end to end, we would recover the last million years of women's hymns and chants and dances, all of women's art and stories, and medicines, all of women's lost histories.

“Megan, the way you hold space is beautiful, so spacious, clear, and no fluff. My entire body softened and it truly took me to a magical space.”
